Introduction

Fax functionality for a OneBox telephony server is supplied through an integration with

a RightFax server. This document outlines how to integrate a RightFax server with a

OneBox Telephony server. Before doing the integration, you must have the RightFax

server installed and running as instructed in the RightFax documentation. You also

need to have the OneBox Telephony server installed as described in the guide Installing

OneBox Version 3.0.

When the Fax and Telephony Servers Share a Platform

To ensure optimum performance, RightFax and OneBox should be installed on

separate platforms. However, if you plan to install the telephony server and the fax

server on a single platform, refer to the OneBox Software Release Notice for hardware and

software requirements.

On the telephony server platform, either the hard disk must be separated into two

partitions or two hard disks must be present; both the telephony server software and

the fax server software must be installed on a partition assigned as drive D.

Important By default, RightFax installs server and board configuration software to C drive.

The default drive location must be changed to D during installation on a telephony

server platform.

When installing fax linecards, the recommended interrupt request (IRQ) setting is 10.

Dialogic linecards use IRQ 5.
