Important Facts You Should Know

This section lists known benefits and limitations that affect the integration and its use.

Be sure to review this information before continuing.

• Brooktrout fax boards are the only fax boards supported when RightFax and

OneBox are integrated.

• You must install the latest RightFax server hot fix, which is available for download

at http://www.rightfax.com/support.

• If RightFax and OneBox are installed on separate platforms and you are using an

E1 Integration, the E1 Integration CD must be installed on the RightFax server.

The E1 Integration CD provides OneBox with the necessary files to support the

RightFax integration.

• OneBox 3.0 and RightFax 8.5 cannot be installed on the same platform using an E1

Integration.

• If RightFax and OneBox are installed on separate platforms and are not a part of a

domain, the account that OneBox logs on with must exist and be enabled on the

RightFax server.

• RightFax SSA Document Conversion is supported only when OneBox and

RightFax are installed on separate platforms.

• Users can select the Contact Information command from the Help menu in FaxUtil

to find out whom to contact if they encounter difficulties with their RighrtFax

accounts. This contact information is stored in the \Telephony Server\Program

Files\RightFax\Bin directory on the fax server platform, in a file called Contact.txt.

By default, this file contains instructions on contacting RightFax technical support.

However, if you prefer, you can edit it to provide the names and email addresses of

your system administrators, their extensions or telephone numbers, and the times at

which they are available. The fax server must be restarted for your changes to take

effect.

Important The Customize Cover Sheet Information screen in the fax server must have only

“To Name” and “To Fax Number” checked. The telephony gateway submits faxes

to RightFax with name and fax number data. When a custom cover sheet requires

additional information than these two fields, RightFax requests that additional

information, which OneBox cannot provide. When this happens, the fax remains

undelivered. You reach the Customize Cover Sheet Information screen by

selecting the Customize Coversheets command from the Fax Manager Utility

menu.
